Author Helena Ku Rhee: Building Bridges Through Storytelling
Curtis School, in partnership with TeachAAPI, welcomes author Helena Ku Rhee in connection with Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month. A children’s book author, she addresses parents and educators on topics such as ways to ignite the love of reading, representation in children’s literature, and what it’s like to be an author of diverse books. Helena also discusses the challenges diverse authors face given the climate of book bans around the country and the importance of allyship.
