Teaching Through Connection:
Building More Aware, Inclusive Classrooms
An online training from TeachAAPI and Tamisha Williams
Teaching asks a lot of educators right now. Every student enters the classroom carrying their own experiences, identities, perspectives, and challenges. As educators, we have the opportunity to shape learning environments where students feel valued for who they are and supported in how they learn, communicate, and show up in the world.
It can be difficult to find space to pause, reflect, and reconnect to the kind of learning environment you want to create for your students…and for yourself.
That’s why we created a summer cohort for educators who want to create classrooms where every student feels seen, respected, and connected.
This is a free training (led by the incredible Tamisha Williams) for educators who want to create classrooms where every student feels seen, respected, and connected.
Teaching Through Connection is a supportive, virtual cohort-centered summer training designed to help educators reflect on how classroom culture, perspective, communication, and relationships impact the student experience.
From June 16 – August 29, educators will engage in 4 flexible, thoughtfully paced sessions, along with practical learning, and meaningful connection with fellow educators navigating many of the same opportunities and challenges – all in a way that’s designed to fit naturally into your summer, not take it over.
Rather than focusing on “getting it right,” the cohort centers on curiosity, reflection, listening, and thoughtful growth.
Together, educators will explore ways to foster stronger student relationships, build more connected classroom communities, and create spaces where different perspectives and lived experiences are acknowledged and valued.

Designed With Educators in Mind
This cohort is intentionally built to feel supportive, flexible, and manageable during the summer months.
You do not need to be an expert. You do not need to have all the answers. You simply need a willingness to listen, reflect, and learn alongside other educators who care deeply about creating thoughtful, connected learning environments.
Whether you’re looking for a fresh perspective, practical classroom ideas, or simply a space to reconnect with your teaching practice and fellow educators, this space is for you.
